Hi, I'm Antonio Poloni from Brazil. I’m a
career switcher from Mechanical Engineering, now focused on
Front-end Development. Over the past
year, I’ve built a strong foundation in
HTML,
CSS,
JavaScript,
Git,
GitHub,
Tailwind CSS,
React,
Next.js, and
TypeScript through Frontend Masters
and freeCodeCamp. I’m dedicated to building accessible, intuitive
web applications with clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
One of my latest projects is
NoCliques, a team generator app
that creates fair soccer teams by analyzing player skills and
positions. I manage the project using GitHub Issues, Pull Requests,
Projects, and a branch-based workflow to ensure clear visibility,
agile tracking, and smooth team collaboration."
NoCliques is a team generator app designed to create fair and balanced teams for casual soccer matches. By analyzing players' skills and positions, it ensures fairness and prevents the formation of "cliques".
In the Front End Development Libraries course, I learned how to style my site quickly with Bootstrap. I also learned how to add logic to your CSS styles and extend them with Sass. Later, I built a shopping cart and other applications to learn how to create powerful Single Page Applications (SPAs) with React and Redux.
In this course, I gained a comprehensive understanding of JavaScript fundamentals including variables, arrays, objects, loops, functions, and the DOM. I also delved into advanced topics such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Functional Programming, algorithmic thinking, local storage, and API data fetching. This certification equipped me with the skills to create interactive web pages and efficiently solve algorithmic challenges.
Certified in Responsive Web Design by freeCodeCamp, where I mastered the essentials of HTML for structuring content and CSS for creating visually appealing designs. Through hands-on projects, I built a cat photo app to grasp HTML and CSS basics, explored CSS variables by crafting a penguin, and implemented accessibility best practices with a quiz site. Additionally, I developed responsive webpages using Flexbox for a photo gallery and CSS Grid for a magazine article layout, ensuring optimal viewing across various screen sizes.
I completed the Frontend Masters Bootcamp and Beginner Learning Path to Web Development, gaining essential skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Through project-based learning, I built and styled web pages, developed interactive features, and gained a solid foundation in web development, preparing me for a professional career in the field.
